12 Things (Part II)

I was originally planning on writing something deep and heartfelt, but as I sit here with a Diet Coke by my side and the Kardashians on the screen, I feel like this is more of the vibe.

I’ve done one of these before, but here’s the gist. I’m just going to leisurely share my thoughts as they flow through my mind, wherever they may take me. There’s no real rhyme or reason, just me and the keypad hangin’ out.

Here it goes:

  1. I recently realized that I am the nastiest popcorn-eater. Also probably the fastest. Peter let me know how quickly I annihilated the entire bag of popcorn yesterday & suddenly, I am scared of my own power.

  2. I just made the BEST pesto grilled cheese yet. It’s all about the pesto-to-mozzarella ratio & I absolutely nailed it. Bone Apple Teeth, baby.

  3. I dropped a shelf on my toe on NYE (*sober I might add), thought I broke my toe but came home the next day to a huge bruise forming underneath the nail bed. So now my big toenail is about to fall off & it’s not cute.

  4. I have a journal from my childhood with my drawings & ‘Cool Gril’ written all over the cover. I apparently didn’t know how to spell ‘girl’ so I had the word ‘gril’ on alllll of my stuff. Like what. Still not sure why mom & dad didn’t stop that.

  5. Peter’s facial hair is looking good. His quarantine stache started more as a challenge & now I’m obsessed! I think it’s cute :)

  6. Should I eat my 4th cookie of the day? They are small and now that they are frozen, they are in the perfect condition for eating.

  7. Last week my cousin found our old emails from middle school and I was dying laughing. How weird is it that little kids would email?! Like now that seems like such an adult form of communication. In case you were wondering, my email was: potatobug4129…

  8. If I had to rank it, I would say fountain soda is the best, then bottled, then canned. There is nothing & I mean nothing more refreshing than a McD’s Diet Coke.

  9. Playing slapjack with Peter last night was the highlight of my day. It’s almost scary how competitive we get playing that stupid little card game. Poor dude has scratches on his hands from my aggressive slapping.

  10. Bullet journals are the coolest type of stationary. Forget wide or college ruled. They are the best and make me happy.

  11. The front desk lady at our apartment told me that I’m “so cute” and remind her of “a celebrity, like from Clueless”… I’m still not sure how to take that.

  12. I am already looking forward to our cheat meal this weekend. Hopefully I can convince Peter to do some gyros from our favorite place in Georgetown ;)

Rereading this has reminded me how random my brain is, I went from broken toes to cookies in like 2 seconds haha! You should try this too and see what you come up with! It’s a good little quarantine activity for sure.

Cheers!
