I was 16 when I first stepped foot on the cobblestone streets of Europe. I didn’t know it at the time, but this high school band trip to the South of France sparked an everlasting infatuation for European culture. The sweet nutella crepes, long bus rides through the countryside alongside my band pals (including my now fiance) and the laughs shared on the streets of Nice sparked more joy than I ever imagined.
Fast forward to sophomore year of college and Peter/my mom convinced me to study abroad for a semester… something I did NOT want to do. Going overseas without knowing a soul seemed daunting, but there was a stirring in my soul to follow this idea. So I did.
I spent spring of 2016 calling Via San Zanobi in Florence, Italy my new home, traveling throughout Europe almost every weekend alongside newfound friends. We managed to make our way through France, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Greece and of course, Italy.
It was during this time that I decided to jot down my experiences and take videos of everything to share with my family back in the states, which sparked this dream of travel blogging.
